Last Nights Party.

Last night was halloween weekend Day 1:
There was about 10 parties in Tokyo though I only got to goto one of 2 them... One of them was a release party of be@rbrick collaboration with Jeff Soto and MAXX242. Artists for FSAS, Wild Ones and REAL Skateboards.
To commemorate the event, organizers had invited Japanese top skaters to demonstrate the S.K.A.T.E. game just like the berrics...

Tokyo Fashion Week.

Last Friday I went to one of the shows for the Tokyo Fashion Week.
This year there were a lot of new and underground designers.
The one I went to was a graduate of VANTAN (a famous design school) college in Tokyo.
Her name is Aguri Sagimori.
A contemporary designer.　Definitely not my cup of tea but it was a great experience to see this kind of a show.

No Fur.

So for all you FUR fans out there, including Kanye West...
Yesterday, there was a massive demo out on Meiji dori infront of my store in Harajuku.
It was a demo against animal cruelty.
On the other side of my store there is Burberry Blue Label.
All the protesters stopped and and yelled "NO FUR". *copped a beating...
I totally agree on this. You may look rich and fucking cool but think about where that coat came from. Ofcourse I like wearing leather/suede shoes but this kinda gave me time to rethink about the process of making these products just for our looks.
Although I have a question to all these protesters...
Can you show me your purse/wallet? What are your shoes made out of? and what is your bag and hand bag made out of?
Hope they ain't all animal products...

Nike Park.

If you have been on the Yamanote Line lately and have travelled between Harajuku and Shibuya, you might have seen big banners saying "Say No To Nike".

It's because Nike has bought out Miyashita Koen on Meiji Dori in Shibuya.

Nike is planning to change the park into a sporing complex including a skate park, footsal field, etc...
kinda like Venice Beach.

Current situation of Miyashita Koen is dirty, filthy and suss. Filled with homeless people and junk.
I guess it is a good idea to brighten up the area though poor homeless people because they got kicked out of there habitat.
